I created the Neurodivergent Creative Pod as a space for my neurospicy friends to share about their creative passions without the pressure of hustle culture, always pushing us to monetize our hobbies and shaming us for being beginners or simply amateurs.
If you're feeling the pressure of making everything a side hustle to justify the time, energy, and money you spend on the hobbies that bring you joy, this is a space where you can opt out.
It's common for creatives with ADHD to lose steam and chase shiny ideas and hyperfixations.
And that's literally fine. We are vibing here.
Share your latest WIP to get encouragement or suggestions on how to make it better. But only if you want to!
This is not a critique group and assholes get kicked out.
Joining the Pod on Facebook and Discord is FREE! This PDF Welcome Kit has all the links you need to join us online, connect your Google calendar, and jump into the Pod.
"I love being able to gush about a new interest and talk to people like me who aren't going to give me funny looks because I do something 'weird.' Because everyone here gets it.
And most of all I actually feel safe enough to share things I've been ridiculed for before."
"I love having an intimate safe community full of people who know the struggles and are genuinely helpful in finding solutions, or can just let me know I’m not alone."
"Creativity used to be the first thing to go when shit hit the fan, but now it's the first place I turn to center myself.
This membership has taken so much guilt out of creating because I understand it's a vital part of me that needs to be nurtured."
Caitlin Fisher is a coach, author, speaker, and podcaster who helps others get through all that brain bullshit (including imposter syndrome and whatever your mother would think) to help you go for the thing that truly brings you joy.
After escaping an abusive marriage, cutting off both bio parents, losing their stepdad, moving four times in two years, and quitting a toxic job, Caitlin realized that burnout was no longer a viable option.
They are the author of The Gaslighting of the Millennial Generation and currently writing a super queer spec fic about trauma recovery via time travel.
When they're not working on their next big idea to change the world, you can find Caitlin playing Paleo Pines, hyping people up on Threads, or crying at The Voice audition videos on YouTube.
Get to know other neurodivergent creatives, post your latest work in progress, ask any and all creative questions, and enjoy the vibes.
In the Discord, there are many separate channels for special interests, so you can follow the ones that make sense and mute the ones that don't!
We're taking a break from hosting a monthly book club, but we have a Storygraph Reading Challenge!
TESTIMONIALS ABOUT BOOK CLUB:
"I love Chaos Book Club! This year I have decided to read only books that have queer stories by queer authors and it has been a pleasure to share them with this group and to receive so many good recommendations. After burnout, it has been extremely difficult for me to get back into reading, but casual neuro-affirming book clubs have been an amazing support while I struggle with regaining my skills."

"I like that no matter what you read, you can bring it and talk about it and no one will shame you! Audiobooks, fanfic, graphic novels, YA - it all counts as reading. And I love that our discussion always leads us into bigger conversations, book recommendations, and honestly I like how we gossip. It's an important part of any book club. It feels like a tiny community!"

Our ND Writing Circle hosts weekly co-writing calls to hang out and work on writing projects together.
We offer two scheduled body doubling calls a week. On Tiger Enclosure Tuesday, join us on Discord and tidy up your space or work on an enrichment project.
Tiger Tuesday host Coróin says, "Tiger Tuesdays are an open chatter body-doubling call, there may be a tv stream, we talk about everything & nothing and just enjoy the hangout time while we tackle the things that need doing, whatever those may be."
On Wednesdays, Caitlin hosts quiet creative co-working. We check in about what we're working on at the beginning and end, but otherwise we stay muted and vibe on our own thing.
You can also start a body doubling call on Discord anytime the video chat is available!
