Passion at Your Pace is a self-paced course for you to divest from hustle culture, which is what's really making you stress the fuck out about never having time or energy for your hobbies.
It's capitalism, bestie.
The Passion Pacer Framework with four key modules: Dream, Plan, Action, and Grow. Each phase of the course is designed to help you connect with your intuition, set realistic goals, take consistent action, and refine your learnings
An extra module on Business to create a sustainable creative business instead of a haphazard side hustle
A printable workbook to work through creative blocks with or without watching the training videos (sometimes you just want to cozy up with a workbook, right? Just me?)
Ten weeks of email communication to guide you through the modules (for the do-it-all-at-once crowd)
Ongoing email reminders over the next 12 months to keep you thinking about the progress you're making with your creative goals (for the I-will-get-to-this-later-hope-I-don't-forget crowd)
As a child, you could follow the fun. You loved to create, to perform, to imagine an adventure beyond your wildest dreams. Then, year by year, the passion and fun and creativity become an indulgence, a frivolous activity, a silly thing - and by the time you're in high school, you've been talked out of your creative spark.
You scroll Etsy and see countless beautiful creations, thinking, "I miss making earrings," or "I'd love to get back to knitting, but I don't want to take commissions."
Take it back. Snatch it up every moment you get. That little child inside you still wants to play, to color, to dance, to create. Let them have attention again.
"Passion Pacers is like keeping my finger on my creative pulse point to make sure that it's still beating. Even on the days when I rest from my creative passions, they're still there, and I no longer feel like I'm somehow "failing" myself. I feel like a much more active participant in my own life. I've discovered new creative talents and I'm enjoying the learning process. I'm less focused on outcomes and immersed more deeply in the process - of learning, of creating, and of having fun!"
"Passion Pacers challenged me to examine the way I was allowing time for play and rest without guilt or shame. It’s taken so much guilt out of creating because I understand it’s a vital part of me now that needs to be nurtured like any other piece of my being."
You might be tempted to put "reconnecting with your creative passion" on your to-do list and hustle through it like everything else.
Stop.
Breathe.
Rest.
It's like a sculpture you know is within a block of marble, carefully chiseling away bit by bit. Not too rough, or it might collapse. But also, not too soft or you'll never realize the vision within the stone.
Your creativity loves you and wants you to hang out. But it understands you're busy. It's the kind of friend that you can text every six months and pick up where you left off. (Shoutout to my high school BFF Crystal).
This course is a one-time purchase you can explore at your own pace.
Explore the Dream, Plan, and Act modules.
Your intuition holds the key to your passions. But we learn to ignore it and replace our own knowledge with the beliefs of our critics.
You might call it your higher self, inner voice, deeper knowing, or gut instinct. At the end of the day, it's the thing that feels uncomfortable in the constant battle against societal norms, internalized shame, doubt, and self sabotage like imposter syndrome and perfectionism.
It feels scary to reconnect with your passions. That's normal. You're not broken.
In the "Dream" part of the course, you'll learn how to listen to this inner knowing with clues from your daily thoughts, the people who make you jealous on Instagram, your favorite stories, and the jokes you make about what you'll do when you win the lottery.
You can make those dreams happen now. Really.
By planning for rest, fun, and creativity around the rest of your life, you'll start to prioritize balance instead of hustle.
You can't hustle this work, check it off a list, and go on about your life as if you've solved the problem of creative self-sabotage and ignoring your deepest passions.
Learn to set supportive, sustainable goals to chisel away at the internalized capitalism that keeps you doing the dishes instead of dragging out your watercolors.
Becoming the version of yourself who prioritizes your dreams doesn't have one right way to start. Any first step puts you on the right path.
In a perfect world, you could seamlessly fit everything you need to achieve your deep-down dreams into your life with no sacrifices. Unfortunately, you have a lot of shit to do and your personal desires are often the first thing to go.
In the Action phase, you'll begin to carve out precious time and energy for your passionate pursuits - a guitar lesson, a sketchbook, listening to a podcast for writers... small steps add up.
Even if the actions you can take aren't exactly what you wish you could achieve, take action anyway.
The time will pass - would you rather have some of your dream or none of it?
Between the kids, managing the family's medical appointments, and a lack of place to be creative, there was no time, space, or energy Laura could use for herself.
Using the Passion Pacers Framework, Laura found a way to take creative action within these limits, even though it wasn't what she first planned.
"I bought lots of supplies for beading and sewing, but I haven't yet started beading again. Instead, I've started gardening with my children. I think my creative side is more inspired, but not in a way I was expecting!"
Caitlin Liz Fisher is an anti-capitalist coach for neurodivergent, disabled, and queer creatives finding the courage to prioritize their passions. They focus on helping clients navigate the "brain bullshit" (including imposter syndrome and whatever your third grade teacher would think) to help you go for the thing that truly brings you joy.
Through everything Caitlin has done, from full-time careers to coaching programs, writing has always been their first creative love, with acrylic paint as a close second and singing as a constant companion.
When they're not working on their next big idea to change the world with love and naps, Caitlin can be found playing Animal Crossing or Dokapon Kingdom, or working on their sci-fi novel Lepidoptera.
