That's because "goals" are about being specific and measurable and time-bound and all that crap, without ever stopping to think about:
Why does this goal matter to you?
How does this goal fit into your current life and future vision?
Why does your new beginning have to start on a Monday?
Fuck Monday, fuck January, and fuck anybody who says your goals don't count if they don't have a statistical analysis of your productivity attached.
You're allowed to pick a spot on the horizon to move toward without needing a spreadsheet about it. (And I'm a spreadsheet bitch, so I really mean that).
Examine the reasoning behind the most common resolutions and goals and start asking yourself how they stack up against your actual life, desires, and capacity. Because some of us don't have the time or energy or connective tissue to train for a marathon, even though your friend Tilly is doing it and wants to buddy up.
Sorry, Tilly.
Inside, you'll find exercises and prompts designed to help you:
Release the rage you feel about all the shame-fueled goals you've set and abandoned
Examine your beliefs about what you SHOULD do and start focusing on what you WANT to do
Figure out your work-life-play-rest balance
Set REAL (realistic, energizing, adjustable, and learning-focused) goals and DIVINE (disruptive, intuitive, values-based, imaginative, next-level, exciting) intentions
Center your goals around your core values
Get clear on your deep-down, un-fuck-withable WHY
Identify the unconscious beliefs that leave you feeling unworthy instead of self-trusting
This is literally free. I want you to have it.
If ONE exercise in this workbook helps you disconnect from the pressures of hustle and burnout culture, I've done my job.
